Should I Measure This with Tim Wilson

With so much digital marketing data at your fingertips, it can be tempting to grab the easy stuff rather than devoting time thinking through what actually needs to be measured and analyzed. Hear misconceptions digital marketers have and advice to guide measurement tradeoffs.

Tim Wilson At Play

Listen on Apple Podcasts Listen on Spotify

In Tim Wilson's day job as Senior Director of Analytics at Search Discovery, he works with company executives and digital marketers to understand what data is most critical to measure, and find the most efficient way to capture and report on that data. As co-host of the Digital Analytics Power Hour Podcast, Tim helps to educate peer analysts, business leaders and digital marketers in these areas.

Tim has a unique perspective on pitfalls we marketers fall into when trying to measure results, and advice for more thought around actionable outcomes and resource scarcity.  We also had an interesting discussion about canned martech reporting and whether it is really telling you what you think it is telling you.

Tim is a super smarty-pants, with an appreciation for punny humor (as evidenced by his rocket surgery t-shirt...as if the hat wasn't enough of a fashion statement!). Oh, and I worked with him for a decade back in the 90s and early 2000s. His hair was much shorter back then...must be an analyst thing?
