Marketing Strategist/ Account Manager

TREW is looking for a Marketing Strategist / Account Manager who can serve as a trusted marketing advisor to technical B2B companies while ensuring their programs are strategically sound, well managed, and aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate has experience working with engineering, manufacturing, industrial automation, technology, or other technical B2B organizations and understands the unique challenges of marketing complex products and services to technical buyers. This person brings together brand positioning and messaging expertise, integrated marketing strategy, and disciplined account leadership.

One day you might lead a messaging workshop with corporate and technical leaders, the next you may turn business priorities into an actionable marketing plan, guide a cross-functional team through a complex campaign, analyze performance, or help a client navigate a high-stakes decision. You will own a portfolio of client relationships, maintain command of the details that keep work moving, and continually connect strategy and execution back to measurable marketing and business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, providing ongoing strategic guidance, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring work aligns with client objectives
  • Translate account strategy into integrated marketing plans and adjust those plans as data, business priorities, risks, and opportunities evolve.
  • Collaborate with account directors, strategists, specialists, and writers to keep projects on schedule and clients informed
  • Help identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional strategic services when appropriate
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and planning meetings with client stakeholders
  • Contribute to marketing planning, brand strategy, product launch, and website strategy engagements
  • Present recommendations with confidence and clarity
  • Build trusted relationships with client teams and executive leaders

Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Lead brand discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews
  • Develop positioning platforms, messaging frameworks, and value propositions at both the corporate level and technical product platform level
  • Create brand narratives that support business goals and growth strategies
  • Create thought leadership platforms and messaging themes for executives and subject matter experts
  • Collaborate with content and account teams to amplify thought leadership across channels
  • Lead campaign, product, and annual marketing planning for project and retainer clients; write and review related downstream content as needed
  • Stay informed on industry trends, buyer behavior, AI, and emerging topics impacting technical markets

The Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on technical writing, content strategy, and brand messaging
  • Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, industrial automation, software, cybersecurity, semiconductor, technical services, or other technical B2B organizations strongly preferred
  • Experience leading cross-functional marketing teams, managing marketing programs in-house, or managing agency account teams
  • Experience working across business and technical leadership teams on corporate-level brand and marketing initiatives
  • Strong interviewing, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent writer with the ability to simplify complex technical topics
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

What Success Looks Like

  • Client relationships grow through trust, strategic guidance, and results
  • Client programs remain aligned with business goals and are adjusted thoughtfully as performance, priorities, risks, or opportunities change.
  • Cross-functional account teams have the context, direction, and support they need to do excellent work efficiently
  • Marketing plans, messaging frameworks, and brand initiatives create a foundation for future growth
  • Clients view TREW as an indispensable strategic partner

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $95,000-105,000 annually

Benefits include:

  • Fully remote work environment
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Simple IRA with company contribution
  • Paid time off + company holidays, including a 2-week winter break
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Ongoing training and professional development (including marketing and AI tools)
  • Paid volunteer time
  • Opportunities to contribute to thought leadership, research, and industry events
