In his writing he combines an engineer's technical insights with a businessperson's commercial necessities to simplify and explain technical complexity while proving and presenting value propositions and ROI. For TREW Marketing, Jeff is a part-time technical writer using his knowledge and experience of successfully marketing to technical disciplines to help TREW clients focus on their target audiences and achieve their content marketing goals.

Jeff’s areas of marketing expertise include:

  • Marketing copywriting
  • Content strategy

Jeff has lived and worked on four continents - Europe, Africa, Asia and North America - and held leadership roles up to and including VP and CEO in leading public and private organizations. As a result he is very familiar with working across cultures when devising marketing strategies, plans, and materials. For example at Autodesk, as VP e-Business, he led the team that created the Worldwide Autodesk Subscription Program that ultimately, and to the credit of subsequent teams, added $1B to annual revenue.

Born in Zimbabwe, Jeff graduated from the University of Kwazulu-Natal with a BSc Eng degree (Civil Engineering) and later studied business at the Institute of Directors, London and Stanford University, CA. His professional qualifications have included C Eng, FBCS, CITP, FICE.

Jeff lives with his wife in Marin County, CA and outside of work plays golf and races sail boats in San Francisco Bay and the ocean - the above picture was taken as the Golden Gate Bridge appeared out of the fog after sailing back from Hawaii.
