In the midst of an economic recession, twelve Central Texas nonprofits, including The Seton Foundation, Capital Area Food Bank, and Southwest Key Programs, decided to come together to launch the “We Are One” campaign. The campaign aimed to start a conversation among Central Texans about increasing involvement and driving stronger support in the community. Through this campaign, the nonprofits demonstrated a new level of collaboration by speaking as one voice to address important needs across the region, especially as the economy continued to decline.

TREW Marketing was pleased to serve as the marketing agency lead of the project, which took just over two months from the initial idea to launch. Being grassroots in nature, the campaign centered on social media and video as the primary channels to communicate the messages, raise awareness, and engage the community. Through web, video, traditional PR and online social media outreach — including Facebook and Twitter as well as with a customized We Are One landing page — TREW Marketing managed development and execution of the grassroots effort calling on all citizens to share how they are one with Central Texas.
