The Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas (TAMEST) was founded in 2004 by U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Texas Nobel Laureates Dr. Michael S. Brown and the late Dr. Richard E. Smalley. It is comprised of Texas' 10 Nobel Laureates and 200+ Texas members of the National Academies.
Following the 2005 publication of the National Academies' Rising Above the Gathering Storm report, TAMEST members began their work on a report with findings and recommendations for K-12 math and science education in Texas.
TREW Marketing was brought into the project with only four months to launch, and took on responsibility for creating and executing a strategic PR and marketing plan launch.
