With 20 years of global marketing experience, Rebecca leads the TREW team in building strategic, thoughtful, and sustainable plans for a wide variety of projects, from redesigning an organization's website and leading in-depth research to defining the positioning and messaging for companies, products and campaigns. She takes pride in creating a culture at TREW that is honest, collaborative and
always committed to finding the smartest solution to achieve stated goals. This has translated into long-lasting, trusted relationships with business executives; academic leaders; trade, business and technical press; and the company's numerous customers.
Rebecca's primary focus over her career has been in defining branding, positioning and core messaging for organizations and then developing an integrated approach to effectively communicate via a variety of channels, including the web, media, and direct and e-marketing. She and the TREW staff have secured award-winning coverage for clients in the technology, scientific, and education spaces. Prior to co-founding TREW Marketing, Rebecca managed marketing programs at a variety of technology and marketing companies and was a member of the marketing leadership team at National Instruments for 14 years. With nearly two decades working in scientific and engineering industries, Rebecca is known for her technical understanding of complex topics and a passionate appreciation for the impact of scientists, engineers, and academic professionals on society.
Rebecca is an active member of the Austin community, from volunteering as a robotics coach for over 10 years in her children's schools to serving as one of 8 selected McBee Fellows in Civic Entrepreneurship with the Austin Area Research Organization. She is a past board member of Leadership Austin, the Development Committee at KIPP Austin Public Schools, the United Way Capital Area Resource Advisory Cabinet, and the Campus Advisory Council of Murchison Middle School. She is a passionate advocate for STEM education in AISD and throughout Texas. In her downtime, she enjoys the outdoor lifestyle of Austin and spending time with her family at their home away from home on the Pedernales River. Rebecca graduated magna cum laude from Boston College and studied at Universite de Grenoble in France.
Under Rebecca's direction, the National Instruments PR Team was honored in 2007 and 2008 by PR Week as one of the Top Corporate Communications Departments in America. Her team was also named the “Best PR Team in Texas”, in 2003, by the Texas PR Association. In 2006, the team was again honored by PRSA-Austin for best employee communications program in honor of National Instrument's 30th anniversary.
